CAIRO, Apr. 26 (Aswat Masriya) - Aswat Masriya's Ahmed Hamed, head of the Multimedia department, won on Monday second place in the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations' photo competition.

The theme of the this year's competition was "Intercultural dialogue from the point of view of youth," while Hamed won with a photograph that he took during an international spiritual music festival at the Citadel in Cairo.

The awards were handed out in Baku, Azerbaijan where Hamed received the award from the minister of Archaeological tourism.

Hamed had won an award in the same competition in 2013, for a photograph he had taken of prayer in Tahrir Square.
