CAIRO, Oct 18 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt's foreign ministry warned citizens Saturday against traveling to seven nations in central and west Africa following the rising number of Ebola-stricken patients in a number of countries in this region.

The travel warning was issued against Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Angola, Ivory Coast, Togo, and Senegal, state-run MENA quoted Ambassador Hossam Eissa, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs.

The Ebola death toll has risen to 4,555 out of a total 9,216 confirmed, probable, and suspected cases in the affected countries of Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, the united States of America, and Spain, the World Health Organisation (WHO) stated in an update released Friday on its website.

According to the WHO's Ebola fact sheet, symptoms of the disease include fever, muscle pain, headache and sore throat, followed by vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, symptoms of impaired kidney and liver function, and in some cases, both internal and external bleeding.
