CAIRO, July 16 (Aswat Masriya) An Egyptian court motioned on Wednesday a death sentence against a defendant for the murder and sexual assault of a five-year-old girl by referring his case to the country's religious authorities.
Ragab Mohamed, 19, was also accused of maiming the girl's body after killing her to conceal the crime.
Egypt's Mufti, the highest Islamic legal official, must give an opinion on the proposed death sentences before they can be confirmed.
