Saudi civil defense forces in Mecca evacuated 600 Egyptians on Sunday due to a fire at a hotel nearby Mecca, reported the Middle East News Agency.

The fire did not cause the death of anyone but resulted in material losses.

Head of investigation and media coordinator of the civil defense of Mecca said that no Egyptian pilgrims were harmed.

He insisted that forces were able to put out the fire that started out on the 8th floor of a hotel consisting of 13 floors close to Mecca.
