Egypt’s Court of Cassation has agreed to look into Nasser Amin’s fraud appeal against the results that led to the winning of Member of Parliament (MP) Mostafa Bakry.
Bakry had won against Amin in the first round of Egypt’s parliamentary elections.
According to Amin, the official website for the elections had announced that the runoffs would take place between candidates, Ahmed Al-Daroury (102,283) and Amin (90,100), where Bakry (37,000) came third, but the information was later removed followed by Bakry's victory.
