A Suez prosecution ordered on Saturday the release of Revolutionary Socialists Leader Haitham Mohammadein without bail, the Revolutionary Socialists page has announced.
Mohammadein was arrested on Thursday at an army checkpoint near the Suez Gates as he was on his way to meet workers in the canal city.
A number of political activists staged protests earlier today outside the High Court in Cairo's downtown demanding the release of the renowned labour lawyer.
Human rights activists issued a statement on Friday condemning Mohammadein’s arrest and describing it as a “targeting of the revolutionary youth.”
