CAIRO, Sept 7 (Aswat Masriya) - Five policemen were wounded in an armed attack in Beheira, north of Cairo, on Monday in an armed attack targeting a security patrol, said the governorate's security director.  

The policemen were immediately transferred to Beheria's public hospital to receive the necessary treatment.  

Militant attacks targeting security personnel have surged in Egypt since the ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in 2013.
