Egypt's prosecution ordered the release of activist Hamada al-Masry and postponed his trial to next Wednesday, al-Jazeera Mubasher Misr reported.

Boulaq Abul Ela prosecution office had detained Masry pending investigation on charges of riots that occurred in front of this office last February.

Masry was charged with possessing bladed weapons and firearms and damaging public property.
