CAIRO, May 10 (Aswat Masriya) - A "limited" fire broke out in Egypt's Ministry of Supplies building in Downtown Cairo on Sunday but is now under control, the director of civil protection in Cairo said.
No one was injured in the fire, Mamdouh Abdelqader added in a statement to Aswat Masriya.
He said the fire erupted on the fourth floor of the ministry and that three fire trucks were dispatched to the scene.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
This is the second fire to erupt in a government building in Cairo in recent months.
The Cairo conference centre caught fire in March, leaving at least 40 injured. Civil protection forces flocked to the conference centre to put out the major fire and a military aircraft assisted with controlling the flames.
