CAIRO, Jan 15 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri flew to Morocco on Thursday to reinforce bilateral relations with Morocco after the recent tension which was sparked by a Moroccan TV report describing President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as "coup leader".
Shukri will deliver a verbal message from Sisi to Moroccan King Mohammed VI, emphasising the strength of bilateral relations between the two countries, diplomatic sources told Aswat Masriya.
Channel one of the Moroccan state-TV aired a report titled "the political repercussions of the military coup in Egypt" earlier in January, in which Egypt was described as having lived in chaos since the "military coup" orchestrated by then-General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in 2013.
Moroccan Ambassador to Cairo, Mohamed Saad al-Eleimi, said that the televised report was broadcast by an anonymous person who aimed to drive a wedge between Egypt and Morocco.
