In a new daily radio programme, Egypt's newly-elected President Mohamed Morsi will answer citizens' questions on their concerns over the various social and economic problems facing the country.

The programme, called The People Ask and the President Answers, is pre-recorded. The director, Magdy Soliman, reveals to Shorouk newspaper that ten series have already been recorded. The issues the president discusses have been sent to the presidential office for pre-inspection.

The programme will be aired on Radio Masr 88.7 daily throughout the month of Ramadan following sunset prayers and will be repeated again the following morning. The channel is already promoting the programme on air.

The president's official Facebook page will also post videos of the interviews, since they have also been recorded on camera.
