CAIRO, Sept 20 (Aswat Masriya) – Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri flew to New York Sunday ahead of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly meeting from Sept. 28 - Oct. 3.
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will head Egypt's delegation to the annual event for which Shukri will be preparing.
Shukri will also be attending a number of ministerial meetings including the Arab Foreign Ministers meeting, and a high-level gathering hosted by the UN Secretary-General concerning Somalia, a ministerial meeting for the Arab/African Troika and a coordination committee meeting for assistance to Palestinians.
He will also attend an open discussion by the UN Security Council on developments related to anti-terrorism measures in the Middle East.
Al-Sisi participated in the 69th Assembly in last September following his presidential inauguration in June 2014.
