Egypt’s Rebellion movement “Tamarod” launched on Sunday its new website (www.tamarod.com) to collect online signatures for the withdrawal of confidence from Islamist President Mohamed Mursi.
The website, calling for holding of early presidential elections, has applications written in four languages, which are Arabic, English, French and German.
The Rebellion signature campaign that seeks to topple Mursi will hold a press conference within this week, to declare the number of signatures it has collected thus far, reported a local newspaper.
The Rebellion campaign seeks to have 15 million signatures in order to overthrow Mursi by the end of June. The campaign calls for demonstrations outside the presidential palace on June 30, followed by an open-ended sit-in until its demands are achieved.
