CAIRO, Dec 30 (Aswat Masriya) - Egyptian authorities at the Cairo Airport banned daughter of former presidential candidate Hamdeen Sabahi from travel on Friday after her name was found on the travel ban list.

Salma Sabahi was stopped during the check-in process as she attempted to board a flight heading to the UAE.

Salma's name was put on the travel ban list in May 2013 on fraud accusations, of which she was cleared later in the same year. 

In 2014, her father ran the presidential elections against President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who was formerly Egypt's Defense Minister. Sisi swept to victory in the elections, winning more than 95 pct of the votes.
