CAIRO, Dec 10 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt's Court of Cassation rejected on Saturday appeal submitted by militant Adel Habara against his death sentence over involvement in killing 25 soldiers in Rafah in 2013.

The verdict is final and cannot be appealed.

The attack, dubbed by the media as the "second Rafah massacre", dates back to August 2013 when militants ambushed two buses carrying 25 soldiers and killed them in the border town of Rafah. It closely followed the deadly dispersal of two sit-ins set up in support of ousted Islamist President Mohamed Mursi.

This is not Habara's only death sentence. In 2015, he was sentenced to death for killing a police informant in Sharqiya, North of Cairo.

He was previously sentenced to death in absentia for complicity in two terrorist bombings in Sinai tourist resort of Taba in 2004 and Dahab in 2006, which killed 42 people.
