CAIRO, May 29 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt’s foreign ministry spokesman said on Sunday that the perpetrators involved in beating an Egyptian citizen in Kuwait are identified.

A video that circulated  social media on Saturday featured a man dressed in traditional gulf Arab clothes verbally and physically abusing a person who is believed to be an Egyptian worker.

The victim who appeared in the video was naked as he was being beaten. 

Kuwaiti authorities are searching from the perpetrators and are set to close down the store owned by the Kuwaiti offender.

The store is located in the Kuwaiti suburb of Mangaf, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

The ministry added that neither the Egyptian who was assaulted in the video nor any of his relatives filed a complaint with the Egyptian consulate in Kuwait or Egypt’s foreign ministry regarding the incident.
