CAIRO, Mar. 3 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt is one of 12 largest contributors to UN peacekeeping missions, with 2281 soldiers deployed in various locations, according to a report by the Cairo Center for Conflict Resolution and Peacekeeping in Africa, which is affiliated to the Egyptian foreign ministry.
Egypt is ranked seventh in terms of the amount of policemen it provides for peacekeeping missions, which amount to 450 policemen.
It is also ranked third with the number of experts provided to the missions, which amount to 78.
Egypt is the second largest contributing Arab country, after Jordan, in terms of policemen, and the largest contributor among Arab states with regard to experts and military troops.
