CAIRO, Feb 28 (Aswat Masriya) - Bomb squads defused a bomb planted by unidentified men on the ring road leading to October 6 City in Giza on Friday.
A security patrol suspected a foreign body on the side of the road and immediately cordoned off the area until the arrival of a bomb squad, Egypt's Interior Ministry wrote on its Facebook page.
The homemade bomb was intended for remote detonation, the ministry added.
After the bomb had been defused, traffic returned to normal on the ring road, said officer Tarek Aman.
