The National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) issued the final report on the second phase of parliamentary elections 2011 – 2012. The report - which was published on the official website of the NCHR – cited the negative aspects and complaints received by the council's operations room for elections.

The report pointed out that the central operations room of the NCHR had received about 528 complaints came via telephones, mobiles and SMS.

These complaints included violations and irregularities occurred during the two days of first round of the second phase:

- Propaganda during the period of electoral silence is still on the top of the offense.

- In the second place came complaints of influencing the will of voters during casting ballots.

- Preventing observers from the performing their duties. Complaints of this violation were higher than the two rounds of the first phase.

- Then, in equal proportion, came offenses regarding the closure of polling centres and the use of religious slogans at places of worship to influence voters.

For its part, the central operations room of the NCHR wanted to underline the importance of rectifying irregularities and violations during the run-off and the third and final phase in order to hold elections that comply with international standards for free and fair elections.

A similar report will be issued after each phase of the elections.
