Brotherhood wants head of appeals court and aviation minister removed
By:

Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood (MB) has called for the removal of Abdel Moez Ibrahim, head of Cairo’s Appeal Court, along with the Civil Aviation Minister, for their roles in the NGO foreign funding case.

MB lawyer, Abdel Moneim Abdel Maqsoud, described the lifting of travel ban as “a humiliating step marred with kneeling in shame to the U.S. and an awful replica of the Mubarak regime known for its submission to Washington”. He also indicated that a foreign scheme has attempted to corrupt the Egyptian judiciary system for decades, reported Al-Ahram newspaper.

The Civil Aviation Minister is charged with letting a U.S. plane land on Egyptian land without authorization.

It is important to note that local activists who were detained for the same charges as their U.S. counterparts are still on trial, which according to Abdel Maqsoud only goes on to display that Egyptians are not dignified within the walls of their own nation, much like during the Mubarak era.
