CAIRO, May 9 (Aswat Masriya) - One child was killed and seven others were injured due to floods on Taba and Nuweiba on Thursday night.
A child was killed in Nuweiba due to the floods, said Mohamed Qotb, Nuweiba Hospital Manager.
Two people also went missing in the floods, Bedouin eyewitnesses reported.
The floods in Taba swept away a hotel's water station, injuring seven people who work at the hotel, said Major General Adel Kassab, manager of South Sinai's Operations Centre.
The floods caused cuts to all telephone lines in Taba and the Taba-Nuweiba Road was closed off.
Since Wednesday, Egypt has been witnessing a wave of bad weather and rainfall.
